Three more languages now have the whole site, not just the classic board: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Russian. Every variant board, the strategy findings, the solver write-up, the videos page and an eight-question FAQ are now in 简体中文, 繁體中文 and русский, each with its own menu.

The two Chinese versions are written separately rather than converted from one another. Traditional Chinese is written in Taiwanese Mandarin, with the words a reader in Taiwan or Hong Kong expects (解題程式 for the solver, 影片 for videos), so it does not read like a Mainland page run through a converter.

• 3×3 и 5×5 — самое маленькое и самое большое поле. На 3×3 победа — это 1024, самая большая плитка, которая помещается в девять клеток
• 1024 и 8192 — то же поле, но цель ближе или дальше
• 2048 Фибоначчи и шестиугольная 2048 — другое правило слияния или шесть направлений вместо четырёх
• Стратегия 2048 проверяет самые частые советы на тысячах смоделированных партий, а страница решателя объясняет поиск, который стоит за кнопками Подсказка и Автоигра

The numbers are the same numbers

None of the figures on the strategy and solver pages were copied over by hand. All three languages read them straight from the same simulation data as the English pages and format them the local way — the solver's win rate reads 91.4% in Chinese and 91,4 % in Russian — so a re-run of the simulation updates every language at once.

What's next

Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Russian join English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Korean, which makes nine languages with the full set of pages. The languages that had only the classic board and its rules are offline for now and come back one at a time as each is translated in full.
